Dr. Vladimir Tismensky was born in Latvia, near the Baltic Sea. He moved to the Detroit area in 1991 to pursue his graduate studies. Subsequent to graduation from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, Dr. Tismensky entered the Endodontics Residency Program at the I.B. Bender Division of Endodontics, Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, P.A. He was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society, in 1999.
Dr. Tismensky has been in private practice as an Endodontist since 2001. He has taught Endodontic surgical techniques to endodontic residents as a part time faculty at Detroit Mercy Dental School until moving to Chicago in 2007. Dr. Tismensky is active in numerous dental and endodontic organizations. His special expertise includes complex non-surgical re-treatments and microscopic Endodontic surgery.
Dr.Vladimir Tismensky speaks fluent English, Russian, and Latvian. In his free time he enjoys music, photography, theater, downhill skiing, tennis and weightlifting. He resides in Chicago with his wife and three children.`
Dr. Mary Roman was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. She received her Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alexandria in 2008. In 2013, she completed the two-year advanced standing program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She also completed her advanced specialty training in microsurgical endodontics at UIC in 2015 where she additionally received a Master of Science in oral sciences.
During her second year as a dental student, Dr. Roman first discovered her passion for endodontics. Dr. Roman has always been intrigued by the complexity of the root canal anatomy and the individual character of each tooth. The main allure that attractedDr. Mary Roman to endodontics is the opportunity to alleviate the patient’s discomfort and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Roman has been in private practice and a part time clinical instructor at UIC since 2015. Besides English, Dr. Roman is fluent in Arabic and German, and she speaks limited French. In her free time, she enjoys painting, traveling, and exploring the city.

Dr. Yun Kyoung Park was born in South Korea and immigrated to New York with her family at the age of 11. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from New York University and went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry.Following three years of experience as a general dentist in private practice, Dr. Park pursued advanced specialty training in endodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy, where she completed a Postdoctoral Endodontic Residency Program and earned both her Certificate of Specialty in Endodontics and Master of Science degree.
Dr. Park is fluent in both English and Korean. Her practice philosophy emphasizes patient comfort, clear communication, and individualized care, ensuring that every patient feels confident and supported throughout their treatment.She continually participates in advanced continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of endodontic techniques and innovations.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Park enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, traveling, and listening to audiobooks.
Dr. Corden was born in the suburbs of Detroit and moved to Chicago in high school. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Northwestern University. Dr. Corden attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she discovered her passion for endodontics and the healing aspect of dentistry.
While at Tufts, Dr. Corden received a dental student award that enabled her to conduct research on Sjogren’s Syndrome at the National Institutes of Health.
In 2016, Dr. Corden completed a residency in Endodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also received a Master of Science in Dentistry degree for her research on obturation techniques. Dr. Corden is a diplomat of an American Association of Endodontists.
Outside of the office, Dr. Corden loves to bake (and eat) pies, especially for the holidays. She resides in Chicago with her husband, daughter, and dog.
